San Carlos Sewer Rehabilitation Projects 17A and 17B

This project includes the rehabilitation of 7,100 linear feet of sanitary sewer and appurtenances in various locations throughout the City of San Carlos. Existing 6-inch and 8-inch vitrified clay pipe (VCP) lines are being replaced with 6-inch and 8-inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipes utilizing both open cut and pipe bursting methods. Challenges include narrow and steep roadways, construction within existing utility corridors and easements, and significant traffic control measures to minimize customer disruptions. This project requires significant public outreach and TPI is in daily communication with the residents and is working with the City’s Public Information office to provide weekly updates about the construction activities and schedule.
