Unit 2: 48-inch Force Main reliability improvements Project

Unit 2 installed approximately 7,200 lineal feet of pipe within and along an existing US Fish & Wildlife levee and habitat. The existing force main also ran along a portion of the existing levee with an easement already established. SVCW worked with USF&W to extend that easement and allow for the installation of the new pipeline. All work was similar, 48-in. HDPE pipe via open trench construction. A portion of this work also included the extension of an inboard levee of the existing levee system in order to allow USF&W to repurpose a portion of the area to a usable wetland. This work also included the continuation of the fiber optic conduit and pull box installation.
