12 kVA Emergency Vault Repair

During a site pavement improvement project at the Silicon Valley Clean Water wastewater treatment facility, it was discovered that an underground vault was settling in the young bay mud that underlies the plant site. The settling of the vault was straining the connections of several 12,000-volt power lines that ran through the vault and supplied power to the plant’s Solids Handling Building. In order to promptly address the imminent failure of these connections and ensuing loss of power to an integral part of the plant processes, an emergency contract was issued for the installation of a new, settlement-proof system of vaults and duct banks. The new system will be anchored to the pile supported main structures of the plant, creating a safe, reliable power transmission network.
